New Series Announcement – Restoration Workshop UKTV

So EXCITED to be able to finally announce our new series! Restoration Workshop (10 x 60 minutes) sees antiques dealer Gary Wallis (pictured) and his team of fixer-uppers tracking down unloved antiques and objects to transform them into bespoke items for the high-end interiors market.

The series is produced by Middlechild, with David Sumnall and Andrew Walmsley serving as executive producers. It was commissioned for UKTV by Philip McCreery and ordered by Yesterday’s channel director Gerald Casey and deputy director of commissioning Hilary Rosen. The deal was brokered by Drive, who will also distribute the series.

“Restoration Workshop is the antidote everyone needs for today’s throw away, single use, society,” said Sumnall in a statement. “To have witnessed Gary Wallis and his incredible team transform the unloved and unwanted into bespoke, handcrafted treasures has been awe inspiring. Gary is a legend in the restoration world, and I can’t wait for the UKTV viewers to witness his talent.”

New series TX date – Fare Dodgers Channel 5

Fare Dodgers: At War With The Law will start on the 21st October 9pm on Channel 5. This 4×60 series is an incredible insight into the hard work and dedication of TFL’s revenue inspectors.

Middlechild voted in the Top 30 Best Places to work in TV

We are thrilled to announce that Middlechild have been voted one of the Best Places to work in TV in the UK.

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognise and honour the best places of employment in TV, benefiting the TV field, its work force and businesses.

Organisations from across the UK entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in TV. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top organisations and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.
