Call the Bailiffs a brand-new documentary series following the work of enforcement agents as they execute High Court Writs on behalf of people desperate to recover money they are owed. When defendants are finally tracked down, agents face tense confrontations, and difficult dilemmas, as they try to settle debts no one else can. The unique team of agents includes one who first started collecting debts in his native Zimbabwe, another who lists model, magistrate and flight attendant on her CV, and a Romanian who worked as a behavioural analyst for the United Nations before taking up his current role.
Supported by an office based team, the high court enforcement agents are out on the streets of Britain every day. The office team have a direct line to the people who need their money back. Collecting debt is no easy task, enforcement agents face abuse on a daily basis and when things get difficult… They must call the police in order to help the agents enforce the High Court Writs. Being owed money is not only frustrating – it can devastate your finances. But once a High Court Writ is issued, enforcement agents can be instructed to search for the people who haven’t paid up.
